An Observation
Yesterday morning before 6, several of the supporters of this blog heard one of the WAMC ads giving DA Soares commercial time, free, to say some nice words and be heard by WAMC listeners. We’ve mentioned it before in this space. Twice in the ad he was introduced as the DA of Albany County, but his words had nothing to do with being DA and there were no questions, let alone probing questions, about his conduct.
At the same time, we are more than halfway through documenting this DA’s adoption of the age old police techniques of defaming women crime victims and not collecting evidence so they can say women are crazy.
We documented the same problems in the APD, but that did not surprise anyone and we were ALL prepared for it. It exists in many cases.
