Soares’ Incompetence

County Court Judge Herrick let DA Soares have it today, dismissing steroids indictments which Soares used for media attention and glory, on magazine and newspaper covers. Brendan Lyons has the story in today’s Times Union. I hope the DA is sued.

Here is a quote:

“In his decision, Herrick characterized the case as unwieldy and complex and riddled with problems in the manner in which the case involving four indictments and earlier partial dismissals was presented to two grand juries.

He said prosecutors’ instructions to the grand jury were “misleading” when the panel was not told that earlier charges had been thrown out.

“The court finds that the amorphous quality of the evolving indictments, coupled with the cursory and inadequate instructions in the fourth presentment have impaired the integrity of the Grand Jury proceedings to such a degree that dismissal is warranted,” Herrick wrote.”

I let DA Soares have it too, today, for his incompetence and for his criminal behavior.  He deserved it.
